FastCacheX is a newer CDN entrant promising low latency and developer-friendly tooling. We ran an in-depth evaluation, testing edge response times, cache hit ratios, purge performance, and pricing under realistic workloads.

Test Setup
We configured a representative site with static assets, dynamic API endpoints, and HTML pages. Test locations included North America, Europe, and Asia. The origin was hosted in a cloud region in the US.
Key metrics collected:
- Median TTFB from each region
- Edge cache hit ratios after warm-up
- Purge latency across regions
- Cost for 10 TB monthly traffic with standard request profile
Performance Results
After caching warmed up, FastCacheX delivered strong median TTFB improvements:
- North America: 42ms median (origin: 190ms)
- Europe: 48ms median (origin: 220ms)
- Asia: 66ms median (origin: 320ms)
Edge hit ratio after warm-up averaged 86% overall. Static assets achieved >98% hit rates while API endpoints averaged ~70% depending on cache control rules.
Purge and Invalidation
FastCacheX supports both URL purge and tag-based purge. Observed purge propagation times averaged 7–12 seconds in North America and Europe but were higher in certain Asian PoPs (up to 35 seconds) due to regional propagation architecture. Tag-based invalidation was efficient and avoided sweeping purges in our tests.
Developer Experience
